  1. Download a testnet Bitcoin wallet.
  2. Get testnet* coins by visiting a designated website and entering your address, generated in the testnet Bitcoin wallet.
  3. Wait for 1 confirmation to be able to spend test coins.

How much does AlphaPo charge for its processing service?

The fees depend on the required options and the merchant’s business model. Please apply at [email protected] for an individual commercial offer.

What alternative payments do you support?

At the moment, we accept over 50 different altcoins (BTC, BCH, LTC, ETH, ETC, XRP, ADA, DOGE) and Tether tokens (ERC20, TRC20 networks). We are working on adding more currencies. You can see the full list of supported currencies in the Supported cryptocurrencies section.

How can I convert all these different coins to BTC?

AlphaPo provides the opportunity for both merchants and their end-users to send and receive over 140 cryptocurrencies inside their account in AlphaPo, crediting the counter-party’s balance in the required coin. This option is available in manual mode for end-users and with the help of API for business.

Can I convert coins to EUR?

Yes. AlphaPo has a built-in instant exchange function. It allows merchants to exchange the cryptocurrency paid by the customer into the fiat currency chosen by the seller immediately.

How often can I expect settlements?

We make settlements by your request, we don’t use rolling reserves so 100% of the funds are available for withdrawal anytime. Also, we have an auto withdrawal option for cryptocurrency: the system makes settlements automatically when the account balance reaches a certain threshold.

Is it safe to keep your money in your wallet?

Yes. Your crypto is stored in an offline cold wallet that’s reliably protected from cyber attacks and unauthorised access. The operational (hot) wallet required for automated operations, such as multiple payments to your clients. This wallet holds the AlphaPo operational funds. So we have you covered. Prior to integration, the operator decides how much money he wants to keep in our system, thereby setting storage limits. All funds exceeding these limits (bankroll) will be automatically transferred to the operator’s external address.

What is a Destination Tag/Memo?

For most cryptocurrencies, the only field a user needs to specify the recipient is an address. This address can be displayed in your interface directly or encoded as a QR code. But sometimes the address is not enough for a successful payment. For example, Ripple has a concept of “multiuser addresses” which require a Tag field to distinguish between recipients. Sometimes this concept is also known as the “memo” field. AlphaPo provides the Tag field for Ripple addresses both in the back-office and in the API. In other cryptocurrencies, this field may also be known as “Memo”, “Comment”, “Label”, or “DigitalID”. When using channel deposits for such a currency, make sure you provide the user with both the address and the Tag field. The absence of the Tag field may result in the loss of the funds sent by the user.
